Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) represents the only third-party payer whose coverage applies to patients based on racial status. As such, pharmacy professionals must be empowered with training and tools to effectively administer the program to ensure health equity for Indigenous patients. In partnership with the Canadian Pharmacists' Association, Indigenous Pharmacy Professionals of Canada have developed training on various aspects of administering the NIHB program.
