2SLGBTQ+ people experience worse health outcomes than their cisgender heterosexual counterparts: a multifaceted, systemic issue in which inclusivity plays a key role. A study conducted in British Columbia last year found that fewer than half of 2SLGBTQ+ individuals felt their pharmacy was inclusive.

Participants from the study referenced above shared that inclusive displays made them feel “immediately at ease”. For these signs to be truly effective, they must reflect a genuine culture of safety and belonging.
